Marijuana plantation raided, over P2 million worth MJ burned in Kalinga
CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET – Joint police operatives and anti-narcotics agents of PROCOR and PDEA-CAR burned an estimated P2 million worth of fully grown marijuana plants in a remote area of Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga on May 15 -16, 2021.
The diligent monitoring of intel operatives of Tinglayan MPS with the help of local officials led to the discovery of a marijuana plantation site in the said barangay. Immediately, operatives of Kalinga Police Provincial Office, RID and RIU 14, with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) joined forces for the eradication operation.
The discovered marijuana plantation site is situated in a 1,300 square meter land area with more or less 10,400 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) having an estimated worth of Php 2,080,000.00.
All discovered marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site after proper documentation. (PROCOR-PIO)
