LOOK: Police officers of Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Bamboo and Tree Planting activity in Brgy. Nagaparan, Danglas on September 13, 2022.

According to the Acting Provincial Director, PCOL MALY C CULA, more than 3,000 tree seedlings and bamboo stalks were planted during the said activity.

The activity was participated by the police officers from the different Municipal Police Stations (MPS) of Abra PPO, troops from the Philippine Army, personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Abra, Local Government Unit, and youth volunteers of Abra.

The said activity was initiated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

With a theme: “Buhayin ang Pangangalaga ng Kalikasan”, the activity aims to increase environmental awareness and is in line with the DILG’s National Greening Program and Makakalikasan Core Value of the PNP. (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
