License to Own and Possess Firearms caravan in Bangued, Abra

To bring services closer to the public, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., led the opening of the two-day License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) caravan held at Camp Col. Juan G Villamor, Calaba,  Bangued, Abra on May 10, 2023.

The said caravan was organized by the Regional Civil Security Unit (RCSU)-Cordillera in cooperation with the Regional Medical and Dental Unit (RMDU) Neuro-Psychiatric (NP) Section, Regional Forensic Unit (RFU) Cordillera and Regional Financial Service Office (RFSO) 15.

Services offered to gun holders are the LTOPF Online Registration Assistance, Application Form, Affidavit of Undertaking, Neuro-Psychiatric Test, Drug Test, Certificate of Gun Safety, Responsible Gun Ownership Seminar, and Notary Public.

In his message, PBGEN PEREDO JR. encouraged gun owners who have expired licenses and expired firearm registration to avail of the services and emphasized the importance of securing firearm registration for responsible gun holders.

The activity is in line with PROCOR’s intensified campaign against loose firearms, which aims at reducing the number of unlicensed firearms in the region, particularly in the province of Abra, by providing easy and accessible services to gun owners. (PROCOR-PIO / File photos)
