Laborer listed as High-Value Individual busted in Benguet
PROCOR’s intensified war against illegal drugs resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) in a buy-bust operation conducted at Km. 3 Stobosa, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet on August 10, 2021.
Reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, disclosed the identity of the suspect as Raymond Rayton Manguray, 26 years old, laborer, single, a resident of Km. 3, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet and native of Malasiqui, Pangasinan.
Manguray was arrested by joint operatives of Benguet PPO, RID, PDEA-CAR and PDEG SOU-COR after he sold to an operative acting as poseur buyer a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” with an estimated total weight of 0.77 grams having a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to PHP 5,235.00.
During the course of his arrest, confiscated from his possession were one cellular phone and the buy-bust money used in the transaction.
Onsite markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence were conducted in the presence of the suspect and witnessed by Brgy. Kagawad Aleve Langbis and Prosecutor Andres Gondayao.
Subsequently, the arrested suspect was brought to La Trinidad MPS for documentation prior to the filing of a case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against him while the suspected shabu was turned over to Regional Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination.
