Kauna-unahang Baguio Smart City Command Center, pinasinayaan
BAGUIO CITY – Pormal na pinasinayaan ang makabagong teknolohiyang Smart City Command Center na ginanap sa Baguio Convention Center noong September 10, 2021.
Pinangunahan ni Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong kasama ang city officials, Department Heads, Advisory Council, Partners from Cisco, City Director of Baguio City Police Office, Philippine Military Academy.
Isang pangunahing mensahe mula kay President Rodrigo Roa Duterte na binasa ng personal ni Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Marlo Iringan na kung saan ay buong suporta at pinuri ang napakahalaga at makabuluhang proyekto na makakatulong sa buong pamayanan ng lungsod ng Baguio, bagaman sa kabila ng nagpapatuloy ang coronavirus 2019 pandemiya ay natuloy pa rin ang pagkumpleto ng Smart City Command Center at magpapatuloy na ang operasyon nito.
Ayon sa mensahe ng Pangulo, “Transforming the city into data-driven and technologically –able in times of emergency is worthy of recognition. Considering the many challenges that all local government units locally and globally are facing,”
“The project is “a critical step towards pushing and institutionalizing the innovation in the way we define good governance. The future has arrived today,”
Sa virtual message of support naman ni DICT-Secretary Gregorio B. Honasan II, “We commend the City government of Baguio as the frontliners of this initiative for continue developing digital solutions that will help us being ICT in able and truly resilience city,”
“As a first single Smart City factor implemented, the inauguration of the Command Center aims to help the city, better manage its major factors, from the economy, public safety, utilities, agriculture, mobility and other operations digital governs by promoting Baguio as a Smart City, we have to optimize the efficiency the city’s operations and services. We would also be able to establish a more connected citizenry that will take for a better and more notably communications,” ani Honasan
Nagbigay rin ng mensahe si Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles bilang suporta at paghanga nito sa pagkakaisa ng city officials at pagtutulungan ng mamamayan ay tagumpay para sa lahat ang kinalalabasan ng High-Technology Smart City Command Center.
Nagpaabot ng pasasalamat, mensahe at pananaw kung paano naging matagumpay ang proyekto na kauna-unahang naitayo sa lungsod ng Baguio na ayon kay Mayor Magalong ay binigyan niya ng papuri ang naging leadman na si Engr. Philip Puzon kasama ang buong pamamahala ng dibisyon ng impormasyon at teknolohiya at sa suporta ng City Administrator Bonifacio dela Peña.
Ayon sa mensahe ni Mayor Magalong, “On behalf of the people of the City of Baguio, let me thank our dear president for providing as the fund the Smart City system the amount of P200 million it was given personally delivered by no less than Senator Bong Go. “Maraming maraming salamat po sa ating presidente at kay Senator Bong Go”
“The topper challenge will no be upon us to act as one collectively, lets’ collect community to operate maintain and sustain this facility with topnotch efficiency and dispatch,”
“The Smart City system allows us to govern efficiently and enhance the way we govern our daily activity because it allows us to gather data and eventually big data to be able identity, to need data to be able to analyze your problem and data to solve our problem,”
“Smart City Command Center were still embarking on another big project and that’s Smart mobility and we are partnering with the group of MVP, Mr. Pangilinan from the Smart City system which will one of our big in ambitions project as well we will be supported by consultants of the Singaporeans, group who crafted the Smart City mobility master plan Singapore, in fact, they are supposed to be here 3 weeks ago, unfortunately, they will not allow to board the plane, but next few weeks they will be arriving for us be able to start working on this Smart City Mobility Master Plan which will again be working with 1. something Billion peso,”
“We are also embarking another big project and that will be the 6th National Data Center in partnership with the DICT and the first ICT Academy in the Philippines the amount of P892 million and half of it will be downloaded to the city of the local government of Baguio in the next few weeks so, we working on this and we’re very happy and very enthusiastic in so all of these problems on connectivity and other problems regarding our improving the digital system in the country,”
