Kalinga COPS Roll out #Barangayanihan Caravan in Tinglayan and Pasil
In Kalinga, police officers of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) together with partner agencies and other advocacy groups brought their services closer to the community by conducting #BARANGAYanihan outreach activities in the municipalities of Tinglayan and Pasil.
In Tinglayan, an outreach activity was conducted in Brgy Poblacion that benefited a total of 600 constituents in the area.
During the event, the services provided to the community were: processing of Philippine Identification System by PSA; roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines by the Rural Health Unit; providing Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) Listahan Beneficiary Pay-out by DSWD Regional Office; 4Pās pay-out by DSWD SWAD Kalinga; release of UCT Listahan Cash Cards by the Land Bank of the Philippines; and rendering assistance & encashment of UCT pay-out by Treasurer Link Cooperative-Tabuk City in partnership with DSWD.
Meanwhile, in Pasil, over 285 farmers and residents were able to avail of the services from the participating agencies in the outreach activity conducted in Brgy Cagaluan.
During the event, the Land Bank Countryside Development Foundation Incorporated (LCDFI) conducted an information drive on budgeting and loans being offered to farmers; Kalinga State University conducted an information drive on Financial Inclusion through a community financial literacy program; TESDA discussed their services and scholarships offered to those who are qualified, and the Municipal Local Government Unit discussed the insurance of crops & animals and updates on agriculture & farming.
Moreover, 2nd Kalinga PMFC and Tinglayan MPS conducted an information drive on public safety, anti-illegal drugs, and COVID-19 awareness and response, while BFP-Kalinga provided lectures on Fire Prevention and Safety Tips.
These outreach activities are part of the continuous conduct of the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery” nationwide that aims to bring the services of the different government agencies closer to the people. (PROCOR-PIO)
