Jail officer commended anew
City officials recently congratulated and commended Jail Officer 1 (JO1) Rodel W. Bucatan of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Baguio Male dorm for exemplary achievement as the National Best Therapeutic Community Modality Program (TCMP) Implementer of the agency.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that JO1 Bucatan’s achievements reflect positively on the city and serves as an inspiration to his fellow officers, as well as to the wider community.
Further, the local government takes pride in recognizing outstanding individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and commitment to their profession and responsibilities in whatever capacity.
In October 2023 at the BJMP national headquarters located along Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City, JO1 Bucatan, who is assigned at the Baguio City Jail male dorm, emerged as the National Best Therapeutic Community Modality Program Implementer, bestowed by the bureau to top performing personnel in charge of the said program implementation in the various jails around the country.
The council noted that JO1 Bucatan’s exemplary performance and accomplishment earned his the aforesaid prestigious recognition, surpassing competitors various jails in Category B, where the Baguio City male Jail – male dorm is categorized, serving the persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
Moreover, his dedication, innovation and tireless efforts have significantly contributed to the effective implementation of the TCMP strategies, leading to improved management of criminality within the jail or silent correctional facility and enhancing the overall welfare and rehabilitation prospects of the PDLs under his care.
