Indigenous People Youth Leadership Summit conducted in Apayao
A total of 51 Indigenous Youth Leaders completed the three-day Indigenous People Youth Leadership Summit (IPYLS) initiated by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) – Apayao and Philippine Army in partnership with 1st Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB15) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Apayao.
The summit was held from December 9 to 11, 2022, and was participated by 51 Indigenous Youth Leaders from the different municipalities of Apayao.
Indigenous People Youth Leadership Summit aims to empower, inspire, motivate and encourage camaraderie among the youths and become responsible stewards in their respective communities.
As part of the program, a series of activities from awareness lectures to poster-making contests, crafting of slogans, and team painting contest was conducted.
Also, an environmental protection and conservation info campaign were conducted through the search for Miss and Mr. Indigenous People Youth Leadership Summit (IPYLS).
In his message, Hon. Remy Albano, the Vice-Governor of Apayao, appreciated the different agencies for their efforts in supporting the IPYLS in promoting togetherness and building a sense of unity within their province. (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
