ADDITION TO VAC PRIORITY LIST ANNOUNCED

BAGUIO CITY – (11 June 2021) – Additions to the Covid-19 priority vaccination list were announced with that of local government units’ quarantine status, as stated in Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) resolution 117.

These were part of the report done by Executive Assistant to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Atty. Althea Alberto during the management committee meeting attended by city hall executives only recently.

Outbound OFWs with deployment within the next four months are re-categorized to A1 priority or in the health care workers list, so they can be administered two vaccine doses before they leave the county. In the same line, immediate family members of health care workers are also included in the A1 priority list, specially that they are direct contacts and in the same household.

In the A4 or essential workers’ list, private sector workers required for work outside of residence, employees in government agencies including GOCCs and LGUs, informal sector workers and self-employed working outside of their residences, are included. This is to lessen chances of infection from the outside environment.

A4 vaccination priority deployment is also focused on NCR, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao; and workers from all other areas.

Health workers (A1), Senior citizens (A2), adults with comorbidities (A3) must also be prioritized in the vaccination program by the LGU through special lanes or vaccination centers. Preference may be given to those belonging to age group 40-59 over the 18-39 age group, Alberto further said.

Contact tracing interoperability and staysafe applications are also recommended for establishment protection and citizen application. –juliegfianza
