IMEE’s advance birthday celebration, held in Baguio City
BAGUIO CITY – (November 3, 2023) Mainit na sinalubong ng ilang Baguio City officials sa pangunguna ni Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, Vice-Mayor Faustino Olowan, Councilor Elmer Datuin, Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda at mga taga suporta ni Senadora Maria Imelda Josefa Remedios “Imee” Romualdez Marcos para sa kanyang maagang pagdiriwang ng kanyang kaarawan.
Siniguro naman ng Baguio’s Finest ang kaligtasan ng senadora sa kanyang pagbisita sa lungsod na pinangunahan ni BCPO City Director PCOL FRANCISCO B. BULWAYAN JR. at maging ang presensiya ni PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN DAVE PEREDO JR. ay nakadalo rin para personal na pagbati sa kaarawan nI IMEE.
Bakas sa mukha ni IMEE ang kaligayahan habang nakisayaw rin siya ng tribal dance bago isinagawa ang hashtag na IMEEmukbang o salu-salo (Boodle fight)
Napuno ng saya ang mga bata ng mamahagi si IMEE ng Nuitribuns at laruan para sa mga bata, nagpa raffle rin ito ng mga gadgets, computer monitor, cellphone, grocery package at cash sa mga senior citizens at mga magulang.
Sinabi ni IMEE sa isang panayam, “We recognize that Baguio City is an educational center so, we are always here to support giving ayuda in the past for the typhoon-more deprived senior citizens, solo parents, and some tanods for a hard hit during the covered period,”
Cordillera feeds Metro Manila in many ways from rice to vegetables not only highland vegetables but even lowland comes are derived from Baguio,”
“The Cordillera continues to be one of the poorest areas in Luzon, it is very important that we given to develop and I think Baguio as usual will be the primary driver of growth, I believe we’ve made great strides now with this new smart city and all other initiatives of the new administration and I hope it will be continue in the next few years but counting on Baguio to lead the growth and development of the Cordillera,”
