Ifugao COPS build a concrete water tank for a distant community in Lamut
In Ifugao, police officers of 1st Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) have constructed a concrete water tank for the residents of Sitio Halimutok, Brgy Holowon, Lamut.
According to 1st Ifugao PMFC, when they visited and had a dialogue with the residents of Sitio Halimutok, some residents claimed that they have problems with the water supply.
Accordingly, the need for a concrete water tank to supply water to the community in Sitio Halimutok is one of the primary concerns raised by the residents.
In response, 1st Ifugao PMFC initiated a Shoot Fest for a Cause, wherein the proceeds will be utilized to purchase the needed materials for the construction of the concrete water tank.
The Shoot Fest for a Cause has raised a total of Php 39,000.00. Immediately, the police started the construction of the water tank in December 2021.
After more than one month of working together with the barangay officials and residents, the 6โx6โx8 water reservoir was formally turned over to the residents of Sitio Halimutok on January 19, 2022.
Sitio Halimutok is one of the isolated areas in the municipality Lamut and can be reached by walking for almost 1 hour through the steep mountain.
The water tank will be used by the 20 households in Sitio Halimutok. (PROCOR-PIO)
