IBP-Isabela inks MoA with PNP to kickstart Nat’l Law Week Celebration

SAN MATEO, Isabela- The Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Isabela Chapter represented by its President Atty. John Ryan P. Torio and the Governor for IBP Northern Luzon Atty. Lucky M. Damasen inked a Memorandum of Agreement with PCol. James M. Cipriano, provincial director of Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) on Sept. 18, 2021 at IBP Building, Alibagu, City of Ilagan, Isabela to kickstart the IBP-Isabela Chapter’s celebration of National Law Week.

The IBP-Isabela Chapter’s officers and members, PLt. Col. Rolly Neyra, chief and PMaj. Rolando Gatan, deputy chief of IPPO-Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Unit were present and witnessed the signing.

Atty. Lucky M Damasen said the agreement aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the lawyers’ security when discharging their functions. In return, IBP will help the PNP regarding their legal problems. 

The other activities for the celebration were Mental Health Seminar, Photo Essay, Quiz Bee, TikTok Competition, MOA signing between the chapter and Santiago City Police Office, License to Own and Possess Firearm Caravan and Free Seminar on Gun Handling and Safety Tips.

The culminating program is tentatively scheduled on October 2, 2021.

Presidential Proclamation No. 640, series of 1995 declared the third week of September every year as Philippine National Week Law and Presidential Proclamation No. 1477, series of 1975 declared September 19 of every year as Law Day.#   Mae Barangan / FNS
