High Value drug personality nabbed in Baguio City

The relentless effort of Police Regional Office Cordillera to fight illegal drugs in the region resulted in the arrest of a High Value Individual (HVI) in a buy-bust operation conducted at Kayang Street, Baguio City on September 5, 2021.

Based on reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, the arrested suspect was identified as John Carlo Caridad (HVI), 27 and a native of Binmaley, Pangasinan.

Caridad was arrested by joint operatives of BCPO, RIU-14 and RID-PROCOR after he sold to a cop acting as poseur buyer one (1) sachet of suspected “shabu” weighing more or less 0.5 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 3,400.00.

During the course of his arrest, seized from his possession was another sachet of suspected shabu weighing MOL 0.5 grams with SDP amounting to Php 3,400.00; buy-bust money; and one cellular phone.

Markings and inventory of evidence were done on site in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Prosecutor Sigrid Lacwasan-Canawil; Punong Barangay Rene Biagtan of Barangay Kayang, Baguio City; and Mr. Charles Nikko F Limon of RNG Luzon.

The arrested suspect was brought to the custody of BCPO for documentation while a case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against him. (PROCOR-PIO)
