Health official says city has ample supply of vaccines

The Summer Capital’s vaccine supply against the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic totaled a hefty 104,803 as of February 14 this year.

This was revealed by City Health Services Office chief Dr. Rowena Galpo during the regular management committee meeting of local officials, Feb. 15, led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong at Baguio Convention Center.

She said the available vaccines include 7,961 of Sinovac; 31,600 Astra Zeneca; 14,660, Moderna; 9,720, Pfizer (Tozinamaren) formulation for 5-11 year old; and 37,344 Pfizer (Comirnaty) for 12 year old and above.

Galpo pointed out that 1,748 doses of Gamaleya vaccine are expiring this month.

Meanwhile, she said a total of 416 were vaccinated from February 2 to 10 under the Resbakuna sa Botika program at Mercury Drug, Lower Session Road, with 280 jabbed with Astra Zeneca; 132, Sinovac; and 4 with Moderna vaccines.

At Watson’s SM near the supermarket, Galpo said 336 individuals were vaccinated from January 16 to February 1 of whom 239 were jabbed with Astra Zeneca and 97 with Sinovac vaccines. – Gaby B. Keith
