Groundbreaking ceremony of the new Besao Municipal Police Station in Mt. Province

PRO Cordillera Regional Director PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, graced the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Besao Municipal Police Station building at Kin-iway, Besao, Mountain Province on January 31, 2024.

Key officers present to witness the ceremony were the Chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division, PCOL REGUEL S SANTAMARIA; the Force Commander of Regional Mobile Force Battallion15, PCOL RUEL D TAGEL; the Provincial Director of Mountain Province PPO, PCOL SIBLY P DAWIGUEY, JR; the Chief of the Regional Public Information Office, PLTCOL CAROLINA F LACUATA; and the Officer-In-Charge of the Regional Engineering Unit-Cordillera, PMAJ BENJAMIN V AQUINO.

Also present during the ceremony were Besao Vice Mayor, Hon. Elizabeth Buyagan; SB Member, Hon. Johnson Bantog II; representative of Hon. Mayor Bryne Bacwaden; Local Government Unit (LGU) employees of Besao; the Construction Team; and personnel of Besao Municipal Police Station (MPS).

During the program, Rev. Princel Balitog of St. Benedict Episcopal Church blessed the paraphernalia. Subsequently, PBGEN PEREDO, JR, and Hon. Bantog led the burying of the time capsule, which comes with the blueprint of the construction design which symbolizes the good and strong partnership between the PNP and the LGU Besao, Mountain Province.

In his message, PBGEN PEREDO, JR,  expressed his appreciation to the LGU Besao for their endless support to PRO Cordillera. He also challenged the gallant men and women of Besao MPS to remain steadfast in upholding their oath of serving and protecting the community to ensure the goal of securing the welfare and best interest of the people of Besao.

The construction of the new Besao MPS Type B/C building shall rise from 400 sqm which is the subject of a Deed of Exchange of Lot, worth 10.5 million pesos, signed between the Regional Director and Mayor Bacwaden on June 10, 2023. Further, the new building aims to provide a spacious, safe, and conducive working environment for the personnel as they render quality service to the people of Besao.
