FUN WALK FOR A CAUSE IN BANAUE, IFUGAO
The Haggiyo Cops of the 2nd Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company demonstrated their unwavering commitment to community welfare by actively participating in a charitable event, the “Fun Walk for a Cause,” held in Banaue, Ifugao, on March 30, 2024.
The event, themed “Walk to Save Life 2.0,” kicked off at Sitio Teger, Brgy. View Point, and concluded in Brgy. Bocos, Banaue, following the scenic Kiiyang Trail.
Initiated by Engr. Sherian Kay B. Agustin, the activity aimed to generate funds to support 10 individuals battling chronic kidney disease and cancer, with the aspiration to uplift their lives.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with over 80 participants, including personnel from the Ifugao Police Provincial Office, the Bureau of Fire Protection, youth members of ‘Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo’-Ifugao Chapter, employees from the Municipal Local Government Unit of Banaue, residents, and volunteers.
Beyond fundraising, the initiative sought to provide essential moral support to patients and their families in their journey against these illnesses. Additionally, it aimed to raise awareness about these health conditions, fostering a more informed and empathetic community.
