FOUR FORMER CTG MEMBERS VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER TO PRO-CAR

As a result of the continuous anti-terrorism campaign implemented by PRO-CAR cops, four members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) have returned to the folds of the law and voluntarily surrendered on July 15, 2024, marking a significant development in the region’s security.

In Apayao, a 40-year-old male farmer, identified as a former member of the NPA in the Barrio (Sangay ng Partido Member), surrendered to the joint operatives of the 1st Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Pudtol Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial EOD and Canine Unit, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB15), and Regional Intelligence Unit 14 (RIU-14). During his surrender, he also turned over a firearm described as an MK2 rifle and one-hand grenade fragmentation.

Meanwhile, in Benguet, three males aged 59, 48, and 61 years old, identified as former members of the NPA in the Barrio (KLG AMPIS), have voluntarily surrendered to the joint operatives of RMFB15, La Trinidad MPS, RIU-14, NICA-CAR, Regional Intelligence Division, Tinoc MPS, PIU/PDEU of Ifugao PPO, CIU of Baguio City Police Office, PIU/PDEU of Benguet PPO, 1st and 2nd Benguet PMFC, 1st and 2nd Ifugao PMFC, RMFB1, and 5ID and JTG 5CMO of the Philippine Army.

All the surrenderers were brought into the custody of the respective lead unit in charge for proper documentation and custodial debriefing. These accomplishments highlight the commitment of both PRO-CAR cops and former rebels to embrace peace and contribute positively to the community, further bolstering security efforts in the region.
