FOUR DRUG PERSONALITIES BUSTED; P2.4M WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUG SEIZED IN BAGUIO

Four drug personalities were arrested and P2.4M worth of illegal drugs was confiscated by the authorities in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted in Baguio City on January 31, 2024.

Citing the reports submitted to PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, the arrested suspects were identified as four male individuals, all residents of Baguio and Benguet.

The suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy Pinsao Proper, Baguio City by the joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) CAR-Mountain Province; PDEA Baguio-Benguet; and Baguio City  Police Office that resulted in the confiscation of 20 pcs of suspected dried marijuana in tubular form weighing more or less 20 kilograms with a Standard Drug Price of Php2,400,000.00.

The inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence was conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects; witnessed by Brgy Kagawad Jhony Lee of Brgy Pinsao Proper;  media representative, Mr.  Jerwin Aquino of Bombo Radyo Baguio; and NPS Representative, Pros. Philip Cesar Castel.

The suspects were subsequently brought to the custody of PDEA-CAR for documentation and proper disposition, while charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them. (PRO CORDILLERA PIO / File Photos)
