FNS thanksgiving gives joy to less fortunate children
BAGUIO CITY – (December 24, 2022) – As we celebrate Christmas this year, let’s continue the tradition of giving back to our community and sharing our blessings with those who have less. Make it a meaningful holiday season not only for you but for less fortunate children as well.
As part of the 2nd anniversary of the Filipino News Sentinel (FNS), a thanksgiving was held to the 50 underprivileged children in Malaya Village, Dominican – Mirador barangay last December 24 at the Multi-purpose hall and for this year’s theme: “FNS 2 years & counting: Empowering Community with Truth”
In coordination with Punong Barangay Remedios Laigo along with the kagawads who helped distribute the food packs, the activity went smoothly.
Before starting the distribution, the children were first offered a Christmas carol, and each of them showed full enthusiasm and joy.
The Filipino News Sentinel was established in December 2020 at the height of the outbreak of the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Despite the trials, many have experienced, FNS has been a partner in delivering relevant news to the community. “Spreading Knowledge, Unfolding the truth” the theme of what we do in delivering a news.
In an interview to Punong Barangay Laigo, “Congratulations! sa lahat ng bumubuo ng Filipino News Sentinel sa inyong 2nd anniversary na pinangunahan ni sir Mario Oclaman, lubos kami nagpapasalamat sa inyo dahil kahit na hindi pa namin gaano kilala ang inyong pahayagan o online news ay sinikap niyo pa rin bigyan kami ng pagkakataon dalawin para mamahagi ng food packs sa mga bata na totoong karamihan sa mga bata dito ay mga kapus-palad dahil hindi pa rin tayo nakaka recover dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic. Nakita namin na masaya ang mga bata kasama ang kanilang guradians,”
“Christmas is giving, magpasalamat sa bawat natatanggap malaki man o maliit ang mahalaga ay galing sa puso niyo, dalangin namin ang inyong tagumpay at marami pa kayo matulungan sa pamamagitan niyo ay nakakarating ang mga tulong na tumatangkilik sa inyo mapa private man o mula sa gobyerno ang mga tulong at good luck sa inyong mga programa at adbokasiya na inyong pinaiiral,” Laigo concluded.
