First Quarter RDC – CAR Meeting

The PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, and the Assistant Division Chief of Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division, PLTCOL JOHNNY W BALAKI, participated in the Regional Development Council (RDC)-CAR 1st Quarter 2024 meeting at Venus Parkview Hotel, Kisad Road, Baguio City on March 15, 2024.

The meeting was presided over by Hon. Elias C. Bulut, Jr., Chairperson of RDC-CAR, and was also attended by Dir. Juliet P. Lucas of the Department of Trade and Industry; Dir. Irene B. Gahid of the Department of Budget and Management- CAR, and Dir. Enrique H. Gascon, Jr., Officer-in-Charge of the Department of Social Welfare and Development,

Various heads of offices from regional line agencies and chairpersons of concerned committees also attended the session, which discussed crucial topics such as guidelines for selecting LGU beneficiaries for DOE Energy’s Financial Benefits, and the Memorandum of Agreement for the Mangan Taku Cordillera Food Fair.

Additionally, the participants also discussed the proposed roads and agriculture infrastructure support facilities provided by the Department of Agriculture, with a call for the integration of gender analysis from all project proponents in RDC-CAR.

The meeting aimed to foster collaboration and strategic planning between government agencies to ensure sustainable development in the Cordillera region. (PRO CORDILLERA PIO)
