Feasibility study on Irisan eco-park treatment plant project, sought

Mayor Benjamin Magalong ratified city council resolution no. 403, series of 2024, requesting the City Engineering Office, as the implementing office/department, in coordination with the City Administrator’s Office and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Cordillera Administrative Region, to conduct a feasibility study relative to the program/project/activity (PPA), ‘Construction of STP/Leachate Treatment Plant at Irisan Eco-Park’.

Based on the deliberation and oral motion of councilor Jose Molintas, the approved measure also directs the submission of the feasibility study to the local legislature for information and appropriate legislative measure.

It disclosed that on February 26, this year, the august body through resolution no. 130, series of 2024, approved the First Supplemental Annual Investment Program (SAIP) for calendar year 2024 of the Summer Capital.

On April 29, 2024, the city council passed appropriation ordinance no. 23, series of 2024, to act favorably on the PPAs as contained in the First SAIP but other PPAs including the ‘Construction of STP/Leachate Treatment Plant at Irisan Eco-Park’ were not acted upon, the resolution stated. – Gaby B.
