EMPOWERED YOUTH TO ADVOCATE  CHANGE

As part of PROCOR’s effort to strengthen its relationship with other government sectors and empower youth as advocates for change, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., attended the Youth Forum held at Cong. JB Tennis Center, Camp Colonel Juan Villamor in Bangued Abra on June 27, 2023

Also present during the forum were PCOL RONALD V GAYO, Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO), and PCOL FROILAND LOPEZ, the Acting Provincial Director of Abra PPO.

During the forum, representatives from the Department of Education-Abra, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Abra, and the 1504th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) conducted lectures about mental health awareness, anti-illegal drugs, and anti-terrorism for all the participants.

The forum aims to empower youth to become advocates of change by educating them on how to handle pressure and challenges such as the use of illegal drugs, terrorism, especially the manipulative and deceitful recruitment of left-leaning groups, and how to become good citizens in their communities.

PBGEN PEREDO, JR., in his message, emphasized the importance of youths as partners of PNP in accomplishing a shared common goal, keeping them safe while allowing them to express themselves and develop life skills and leadership traits. (PRO COR-PIO / File Photos)
