Electronics technician topnotchers, school cited for achievements

The City Council, during last Monday’s regular session, approved a resolution commending and congratulating Roilo Ardan Acosta Majarucon and Paul Marc Miguel Valdez for placing second and third placers and the St. Louis University (SLU) for placing 4th in the top performing schools during the October 2022 electronics technical licensure examination.

In a resolution, local legislators claimed that the feat of the aforesaid individuals and the higher education institution show and continue to uphold the city’s title as the education capital of the north where it molds students into licensed professionals with flying colors.

Earlier, the professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 785 out of some 2,664 passed the electronics engineer licensure examination 1,546 passed out of the 2,005 examinees who took the licensure examination given by the Board of electronics in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronodal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagdian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The council stipulated that Majarucon and Valdez, graduates of SLU, ranked second and third with a rating of 88 and 87 percent, respectively.

Further, the PRC also recognized the top performing schools in the entire archipelago the electronics technician licensure examination where SLU was one of the top performing schools placing 4th in the said examination which had consistently shown remarkable performance in every licensure examination over the past several decades. – Dexter A.
