Digital innovations training for gov’t workers set
The city government led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong will conduct a ‘Digital Innovation Processes for the Public Sector” training program for selected employees on April 25 at Plaza Garden Hotel, here, spearheaded by the city planning, development, and sustainability office (CPDSO) under Donna Rillera-Tabangin through the SIGLAT (Synergize, Innovation and Gravitate Leadership towards Adaptive Technologies) Baguio Youth Innovation Hub and OURTECH Information Technology Solutions, a dedicated start-up committed to fostering digital innovation in the public sector.
Tabangin said the training aims to provide the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to empower the Summer Capital’s public sector organizations to leverage digital solutions and foster a culture of innovation effectively.
“Our local government must adapt to new technologies and innovative processes in the rapidly evolving digital age. We believe this training will equip employees with valuable insights and strategies to drive information within our city’s public sector organizations,” she said.
The one-day activity will also serve as a platform to exchange ideas, collaborate and learn from industry experts and fellow participants, Tabangin added.
Training topics include the role of digital innovation in public sector organizations; benefits, challenges and determinants of public sector digital innovation; digital innovation strategies for public managers; basic concepts of artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning, and big data applications in the public sector; case studies of digital projects in public sector organizations; followed by a question and answer collaborative session. – Gaby B.
