Ayon sa isang Proposed Message ni PMA Supt. Cartujano, “Over the years, media has played a crucial role in every organization. Media personalities are our arms in spreading knowledge, disseminating information, and narrating news from one area to another. They became the eyes, ears, and mouth of society. They speak of facts and tell reliable information to the public. Further, media also turn out to be a means of educating people. Eventually, it becomes the government’s link to the people since all the media convey all the policies, activities, and news. These are some of the importance of media to us, and I genuinely acknowledge having this activity this morning because it will allow us to foster our media relations,”
“This activity kick-off our stronger media relations with one common goal, to inform and educate it’s been two years since we closed PMA to the public for the safety and protection of the PMA community, cadets and the public because of the threat brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic that resulted for us to restrict face-to-face media coverage. So, we just made some adjustments, such as conducting live video coverage and releasing photos and video materials through email. Indeed, it was also very challenging to be in this situation as much as we wanted to expand our reach and inform the public about how we accomplished our mission, we were somehow constrained because of the pandemic,”
“I hope that this Defense Press Corps forum allows us to reach our goals and create a credible bond where our institution and the Defense Press Corps will support and guide each other in all our endeavors, we hope to work with you.
“Let this forum be an avenue of learning and building links and trust. May we strengthen the military–media relationship to further inform the public about us and how we accomplish our mission. I hope that this forum will somehow pave the way for us to create our very own PMA DEFENSE PRESS CORPS. Ultimately, may our media relations give us immense knowledge, convey information, raise consciousness, deliver a true story for various events and educate society,” Cartujano said
