DAR Secretary Distributes 714 CLOAs and Hands Over P30.145M Worth of Farm Machineries and Equipment to Kalinga ARBs

TABUK CITY, KALINGA– The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III led a significant initiative to empower agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) where the distribution of 714 Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) and the official turnover of farm machinery and equipment worth a total of P30.145 million was conducted last June 23, 2023, at Tabuk City Gymnasium.

The CLOAs, covering an extensive land area of 1,201.8922 hectares, were handed out to 772 deserving ARBs. This substantial milestone not only confers land ownership but also ensures long-term security for the beneficiaries.

Furthermore, the turnover of farm machinery and equipment (FME) aims to boost the productivity and income of 24 ARB organizations (ARBOs) and a total of 960 ARBs in Kalinga. The equipment handed over includes three (3) units of Combine Harvester with Trailer, three (3) units of Tractor with Rotovator and Trailer, four (4) units of Tractor with Corn Kit and Trailer, sixteen (16) units of Grasscutter, six (6) units of Hand Tractors, 25 units of Mini-power tillers, one (1) Rotovator, one (1) mini 4×4 Truck, and one (1) Truck. These tools and machinery are expected to significantly improve farming operations, enabling the ARBs to enhance their agricultural productivity and ultimately increase their income.

This remarkable event represents a significant step forward in the implementation of agrarian reform programs. By granting land ownership and providing essential resources, the DAR, together with its dedicated officials, aims to empower ARBs and create a more sustainable and prosperous agricultural sector in Kalinga. The impact of these initiatives is expected to reverberate throughout the region, fostering economic growth and improving the lives of numerous farming communities.
