CULMINATING PROGRAM 37TH CORDILLERA MONTH

PRO-CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, together with the Force Commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, PCOL RUEL D TAGEL, joins the culminating program of the 37th Cordillera Month, held at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center in Baguio City on July 31, 2024.

Key personalities present were the Provincial Governors from the different provinces of the Cordillera, the City Mayor of Baguio City, and other heads of offices of the different government agencies in the region. The event also saw participation from multisectoral groups representing the academe, youth, women, farmers, senior citizens, religious groups, and civil society organizations.

During the event, PBGEN PEREDO JR. actively engaged with attendees, extending his greetings and support for the region’s development. The event featured a Multicultural Variety Show, showcasing indigenous and non-indigenous cultural songs, dances, musical instruments, and traditional attires.

As an Igorot Top Cop, PBGEN PEREDO JR. attended to strengthen collaboration with various societal sectors, fostering better understanding, appreciation, and respect for the region’s diverse cultural heritage. His presence emphasized the shared goal of achieving a more progressive and unified Cordillera.

With the year’s theme: “Multiculturalism Towards Regional Autonomy and Development,” the celebration underscores the significance of the Cordillera Month as a moment to celebrate the region’s rich culture, history, and traditions, aiming to strengthen Cordillerans’ identity and pride in their heritage and history.
