CTG Encampment, War materials, and explosives seized in Kalinga

Acting on the information provided by concerned residents of Barangay Bagumbayan in Tabuk City, Kalinga, operatives of Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) have implemented OPLAN EAGLE SPEAR 2022 that resulted in the recovery of abandoned CTG Encampment as well as several war materials and explosives on February 9, 2022.

Based on the reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, the joint operatives from Kalinga PMFC, Provincial Intelligence Unit of Kalinga PPO, and Special Action Force has recovered the enemy encampment along with five pieces of 40 mm cartridge; six pieces of grenade rifles with canister; 19 pcs of electrical blasting caps; two pcs of dynamite gel; 22 meters electrical wire; and two detonator battery pack.

Extracted also were some subversive CTG documents and other personal belongings & accouterments.

The operating personnel searched the immediate premises of the area with the assistance of the Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU) for the possible recovery of other explosive devices.

The said CTG encampment was dismantled and all recovered items were brought to Kalinga PPO for documentation and proper disposition. (PROCOR-PIO)
