BOAC, Marinduque – This year’s Expo is bringing another wonderful event filled with a plethora of talents and skills. In the Expo ingress that took place at Boac, Moriones, Arena on March 18, we were given a preview of how artistically gifted our people of Marinduque are, we have seen different creative industry domains that make up the whole Expo.
The Creative Marinduque in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry has brought forth not only one domain for the public but three. Within the Creative Marinduque booth, we’ll see domains from Publishing and Print media to Traditional Cultural expression and design.
Paintings are hung upon the walls of the booth for clear viewing and hopeful buyers of fine crafts, mannequins with elegant and refined clothing as well and t-shirts from “buhayisla” are also displayed for the Design domain, it gives us a glance at how further the Marinduqueños are with their craft.
For the last domain under the Creative Marinduque, we have Publishing and Printed Media, showcasing the literary prowess of local Marinduqueño writers. These stories range from different genres that suit the general public’s tastes in literary masterpieces, for children there are storybooks, collection of poems, mini dictionaries that features Marinduque Tagalog, history books, and other interesting and humorous books that every reader would desire to possess. Aside from the Creative Marinduque, we’ll see a lot of booths dedicated not only in showing the artistic side of Marinduqueños but also to other services that are too hard to pass on.
For the domain of Traditional Cultural Expression, we’ll see the different art displayed for all artists and non-artists to appreciate the beauty of art, of colors painted with intent and dedication, with each stroke lies elegance and sophistication in art pieces displayed at 4 Art’s Sake Philippines.
Their artworks are truly a feast to the eyes, but it does not in painted canvases but with other forms of artwork, this Expo 2024 ought to satisfy not only the eyes but the sense of touch of every visitor and tourist with El Capitan’s Woodcrafts and Municipal Environment Office of Buenavista’s Driftwood art.
Visitors and tourists will never go hungry with the art of Culinary Practices that fill not only the stomach but also the mind with the different culinary dishes of Marinduque that indulge the taste buds of visitors and tourists.
The domain in design is probably the most abundant above all design, booths dedicated to providing high quality are prominent in the Expo 2024, and souvenirs are the most common item, they range from keychains, bracelets, necklaces, mugs, wallets, ornaments like dream catcher, frames, wind chimes, and other decorative ornaments, bags, fans, and pen and pencils. Overall this Expo Marinduque 2024 will surely create a Wonderful Experience for all visitors, hence it is with deep pride that we recommend everyone to join the rest of the month of March to the first week of April, to celebrate this 2024 Marinduque Expo, there is more to see, hear and feel in Marinduque, wear its colors with pride.
