Council commends SLU professors for International Journal Publication

City officials recently congratulated and commended professors of the Catholic-run Saint Louis University (SLU) for the international publication of their journal entitled ‘Empowering and Equipping Parents with the Basic Intervention Skills in Handling their Children with Special Learning Skills.’

In a resolution, local legislators stated that the local government proudly recognizes and commends the achievement of the SLU professors, together with their esteemed institution that further contributes to promote and sustain the title of Baguio City as the undisputed Education Center of the North.

Earlier, SLU professors from the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA), Dr. Bryan V. Catana, Dr. Mary Ann B. Domalanta, Dr. Marilyn L. Balmeo, Dr. Teresita D. Ignacio and Dr. Sheila Marie C. Magat, had their journal published by Texila International Journal of Academic Research.

Further, their journal entitled ‘Empowering and Equipping Parents with the Basic Intervention Skills in Handling their Children with Special Learning Needs’ was published in the said international journal and is now available in their website.

Texila International Journal of Academic Research is a multi-disciplinary approach published half annually and commenced in 2014.

Moreover, the main focus of the said journal was to showcase quality researches involving any discipline and methodology of academic interests aside from featuring the original researches from the scholars pertaining to social science, public administration and related areas of interests.

The journal also paves the way for new opportunities for the potential prospects of the researchers in the chosen specializations.

Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the aforesaid professors and the SLU administration for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. – Dexter A. See
