Cordillera COPS nailed 28 wanted persons in week 1 of 2021

The Week 1 of PROCOR’s campaign against wanted persons resulted in the arrest of 28 individuals by virtue of warrants for various crimes.

From January 3-9, 2021, reports reaching the Regional Director, PBGEN R’WIN S PAGKALINAWAN, indicates that there were 28 arrests recorded by the different PPOs and Baguio CPO of which five were listed as Most Wanted Person.

For this week, the Baguio City Police Office has recorded the highest number of arrests with 15 arrested wanted persons. Benguet PPO followed with 6 arrests, Ifugao PPO with three, and Abra PPO & Kalinga PPO with two arrests each.

On the Most Wanted Person (MWP), two were arrested by Baguio CPO while Abra PPO, Benguet PPO, and Kalinga PPO have one arrest each.

In Baguio City, Loakan Police Station (PS4) has arrested Mary Ann Bangot Buenaobra in Holy Ghost Extension Barangay and Alexander Marciana Campos in Loakan Proper Barangay.

Buenaobra is facing charges for theft and listed as No. 4 MWP (Municipal Level) while Campos is facing charges in Violation of RA 7610 or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act”. Campos is listed as No. 8 MWP (Station Level).

Meanwhile, in Abra, Rogelio Flores Garcia was arrested in Bangued by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Homer Jay Ragonjan of RTC Branch 1, Bangued Abra for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness in Relation to RA 7610. Garcia is listed as No. 4 MWP (Municipal Level).

In Benguet, Peter John Sanchez Tamolang, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Daniel D Mangallay of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 64, First Judicial Region, Buguias, Benguet for the crime of Rape (two Counts). Tamolang is listed as No. 2 (Provincial Level).

In Kalinga, Pancho Bacwit Wacdagan, was arrested in Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga by virtue of warrants of arrest issued for the Violation of RA 7619 and RA 9262 or the “Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004”. Wacdagan is listed No.8 (Municipal Level). (PROCOR PIO)
