COMMERCIAL BUILDING RAIDED, TEN ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL GAMBLING

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet- By virtue of a search warrant, ten (10) individuals were arrested by the operatives of Mountain Province in a commercial building at Poblacion, Bontoc on April 29, 2021.

Citing the report from Mountain Province PPO, the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE identified the suspects as Constancio Kifab Wayyas, 43; Joseph Ayan Panay, 43; John Felwa Andaya, 57; Leon Kilayon Acofo, 55; Ramon Chawayen Tuma-ok, 53; Marvin Fagas Managtag, 39; Klemburg Peyes Geronilla, 40; Dylan Frayaw Aryongen, 24; John Inmongog Wanchakan, 26; and Robert Chakas Faclangen, 50. The said suspects were caught in the act of playing “munti Spanish” and “Pusoy” at the 3rd floor of Acofo Building, Poblacion, Bontoc.

Operatives seized from them were four (4) boxes with 52 pcs playing cards each, 1 (one) box with 41 pcs of playing cards, a rectangular table with detachable stand; sixteen (16) pcs green plastic monobloc chairs; and Php 970.00 cash in different denominations.

All pieces of evidence were inventoried on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects duly witnessed by a media representative and a Barangay Kagawad of Poblacion Bontoc.

Further, arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bontoc MPS for proper documentation while pertinent documents are being prepared for filing of appropriate charges in court. (PROCOR RPIO)
