Closing program of the Youth Development Session (YDS)

PLTCOL RUEL D TAGEL, the Officer-in-charge of the Regional Mobile Force Batallion 15, graced the closing program of the Youth Development Session (YDS) conducted in Sablan, Benguet from April 3 to 5, 2023.

The three-day youth empowerment activity was participated by thirty-six (36) students from Saint Louis School of Sablan Inc.

In his message, PLTCOL TAGEL expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sablan and the school management that led to the success of the activity. He also motivated the young leaders to continue advocating peace in their communities and be an inspiration to their fellow youth.

Present also during the closing program was Ms. Margaret Bangit, School Principal; Ms. Louinda Dulnuan of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office; and Mr. Laurel Garambas, LGU representative.

The summit aims to bring out the potential of the youth by emphasizing their role as future leaders of their communities. The participants went through a series of lectures, interactive challenges, and other team-building activities that would help develop their camaraderie, teamwork, and sense of leadership.

Further, the YDS is a program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and is implemented in partnership with the Police Regional Office Cordillera and the Department of Education (DepEd). (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
