City, Victory Liner to sign deed of donation for bus transfer

The city council passed resolution no. 37, series of 2024, granting authority to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, representing the city government, to sign the appropriate deed of donation with Victory Liner Inc., represented by its president and general manager Marivic del Pilar, for the transfer of a Hyundai bus to the city government.

The approved measure stated that Victory Liner, Inc., “a reputable company known for its commitment to community development, has generously offered to donate a bus to the city government of Baguio.”

To facilitate the formal transfer of ownership and express the city’s gratitude for this generous gesture, it is necessary to sign a deed of donation between the city government and the above-mentioned bus company, it added.

In its 3rd Indorsement dated January 18, 2024, the august body’s committee on laws, human rights and justice, recommended the adoption of a resolution for the said purpose.

The resolution stated that the city government shall consider the condition of the bus to be donated before acceptance to be able to reduce appropriations for vehicle repairs and maintenance. – Gaby B. Keith
