City okays promo of native products by Irisan group at Igorot Park in September

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed city council resolution no. 327, series of 2022, approving the conduct of a promotional activity of Cordillera products by members of the Association of Irisan Ministries (AIM) at Igorot Park.

The measure states that the extent and period of the activity shall be decided by the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) under Atty. Rhenan Diwas in consonance with the city’s celebration of ‘Saleng’ Festival in September this year.

Considered by the august body is a letter dated 14 July 2022 of Lucia D. Kinadoy of AIM requesting for the conduct of the promotional activity at the venue from September 1 to 30 to promote Cordillera products.

In its 2nd indorsement dated 04 August 2022, the local legislature’s committee on market, trade and commerce and agriculture chaired by councilor Isabelo ‘Popo’ Cosalan recommended approval of the request and that the extent and period of the activity shall be decided by CEPMO.

Meanwhile, the Mayor also ratified city council resolution no. 326, series of 2022, approving the conduct of a promotional activity by members of the Lion of the North Livelihood at Igorot Park from August 1 to 26, 2022.

The august body’s committee on market, trade and commerce and agriculture also recommended approval of the request. – Gaby B. Keith
