City okays more barangay, SK budgets for 2023

Mayor Benjamin Magalong ratified city council resolution no. 360, series of 2023, granting favorable review to the budgets of six barangays in the Summer Capital for this year pursuant to pertinent provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.

These are the budgets of Lopez Jaena, West Quirino Hill, Guisad Central, Marcoville, and Camp 8 barangays.

The City Budget Officer forwarded for review of the local legislature the said preliminary reviewed annual and supplemental budgets for 2023.

In its 2nd indorsement dated June 14, this year, the august body’s committee on barangay affairs recommended the favorable review of the barangay budgets.

The approved measure ordered the return of the barangay budgets to the City Budget Office for implementation.

Meanwhile, the Mayor also signed city council resolution no. 374, series of 2023, granting favorable review to the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) annual budgets of Camp 7 and Bakakeng Central barangays for this year.

The local legislature’s committee on youth welfare and sports development, in its 2nd indorsement dated June 16, 2023, recommended the favorable review of said SK barangay budgets. – Gaby B. Keith
