City okays more barangay budgets, ordinances

Acting Mayor Faustino Olowan signed separate city council resolutions granting favorable review of several barangay budgets for fiscal year 2022 that were forwarded by the City Budget Officer to the august body.
Resolution no. 491, series of 2022, grants favorable review to the budgets of Lualhati and Saint Joseph Village barangays while resolution no. 496, series of 2022, does the same to the barangay budgets of Manuel A. Roxas, East Modern Site, Poliwes, Palma-Urbano, and Country Club Village barangays.
The local legislature’s committee on barangay affairs, in its 2nd indorsement dated October 12 and 19, 2022, recommended favorable reviews of the mentioned barangays’ budgets.
The granting of favorable review is pursuant to provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.
The approved measures direct the return of the barangay budgets to the City Budget Office for their implementation.
Meanwhile, Olowan also ratified resolution nos. 492 and 501, both series of 2022, granting favorable review of barangay tax ordinance no. 02, series of 2021, of San Luis Village and ordinance no. 02, series of 2022, of Palma-Urbano barangay. – Gaby B. Keith
