City okays annual, supplemental barangay budgets for 2023, 2024

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed a city council measure granting favorable review to several barangay budgets for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 pursuant to pertinent provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.

Resolution no. 43, series of 2024, grants favorable review to the annual budget of Loakan Proper barangay for 2024 and the supplemental budgets (no. two) of Lower General Luna and Kayang Extension barangays for 2023.

The City Budget Officer forwarded for review by the local legislature the preliminary reviewed annual and supplemental budgets of the said barangays.

In its 2nd Indorsement dated January 18, 2024, the august body’s committee on barangay affairs recommended a favorable review of the three barangay budgets.

The approved measure directs the return of the barangay budgets to the City Budget Office for implementation. – Gaby B. Keith
