City laments demise of several barangay officials

Mayor Benjamin Magalong ratified separate city council measures mourning the recent passing of several former barangay officials in the Summer Capital.

Resolution no. 717, series of 2023, expresses the city’s deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late Jesusa Aquisio Kidpalos, former punong barangay and kagawad of Mines View barangay.

“She was a true public servant whose unwavering dedication and tireless efforts made a significant impact on the lives of the constituents and betterment of Mines View barangay,” it stated.

Resolution no. 720, series of 2023, mourns the demise of the late Peter Paul Clemente Gamueda, former kagawad of Queen of Peace barangay whose “tireless efforts and selfless service have etched a permanent impression in Queen of Peace barangay, creating a remarkable legacy of public service that touched the lives of numerous residents.”

Meanwhile, resolution no. 721, series of 2023, laments the death of former kagawad Ramon K. Teehankee of Burnham-Legarda barangay.“His active participation in various civic activities geared at improving his constituency is worthy of emulation and shall remain in the hearts and minds of every constituent of Burnham-Legarda barangay whom he dearly served and of the City of Baguio as well,” it stated. – Gaby B.
