The city government thru the City Veterinary and Agricultural Office (CVAO) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism-Cordillera (DOT-CAR) launched the Summer Capital’s Farm Tourism Circuit, May 21, at Happy Hallow barangay as part of the city’s celebration of Urban Farmers Month.
CVAO Agriculturist I Vincent Aaron Chacapna said the activity aims to promote and support farms and farmers in the city and provide experiential education to visitors and residents on their best agricultural practices.
Included in the circuit are permaculture, hydroponic farms and edible garden landscapes in Happy Hallow barangay; strawberry farms at Sto. Tomas barangay; rose gardens at Camp 7 barangay; farms in Irisan barangay that have received Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification; and more.
