City dads commend topnotcher in Industrial Engineering exam

The City Council, during last Monday’s regular session unanimously approved a resolution commending and congratulating Engr. Kimberly T. Dionisio of the St. Louis University (SLU) for placing first with a final average of 85.86 percent during the April 10 and 13, 2022 certified industrial engineering examination held in various parts of the country.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that Engr. Dionisio’s feat shows and continues to uphold the city’s title as the education center of the north for it molds students into licensed professionals with flying colors.

The Industrial Engineering Certification Board through the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers announced that there were 298 graduates of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from all over the country who took the aforesaid examination and only 238 examinees successfully hurdled the said examination representing a national passing rate of 79.87 percent.

The said examination was conducted last April 10 and 13, 2022 using the allowable online platform to ensure the compliance of the examinees to the prevailing implementation of the minimum public health standards.

With their license, the council pointed out that the new industrial engineers are now eligible to apply for the title of Associate ASEAN Engineer under the Philippine Technological Council, the body that administers the ASEAN Engineer Registry in the country.

Engr. Dionisio of SLU, one of the successful examinees, garnered first place with an average of 85.86 percent in the aforesaid licensure examination. – Dexter A. See
