City congratulates Easter College on 117th Anniversary
City officials commended and congratulated the Easter College, Inc., formerly Easter School, during the celebration of its 117th founding anniversary.
Under Resolution No. 111, series of 2023, local legislators stated that Baguio City, being the educational center of the north, recognizes the efforts and initiatives of Easter College, Inc. in providing quality education to students not only of the city but also nationwide and even internationally.
Easter College, Inc., formerly Easter School, was the first private school to open in the Cordillera in 1906.
The school was funded by an Anglican missionary from the United States of America (USA), Rt. Rev. Charles Henry Brent, and takes pride in having been instrumental in strengthening the Anglican faith and promoting education
Further, Easter College’s basic education program, from its pre-school to high school, consistently proves its efficiency by producing competent students and professionals and for being instrumental in the accreditation of the Easter College, Inc. by the Association of Christians Schools, Colleges and Universities Accrediting Agency, Inc..
The council claimed that year after year of its operation, the special education program also known as the special action and rehabilitation for the handicapped (SARAH) was instituted to cater to children with special needs.
At present, Easter College, Inc. offers degree courses such as nursing, criminology, hospitality management, business administration, secondary and elementary education, and early childhood education.
