Roel Velasco and Reynaldo Galido were the coaches for the Men’s and Women’s teams, respectively.

The measure states that the Thailand Open is one of the world’s biggest boxing events that was participated by 130 elite boxers and part of the Philippine National Boxing Team’s preparations for its overall title defense in the 31st South East Asian Games held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

It states that with the proper guidance and mentorship of their coaches and trainers, the national team boxers performed exceptionally well in their respective weight categories.

“The outstanding performances of the athletes portrayed unquestionable discipline and sports excellence perfected through years of training and dedication that serve as inspiration for the whole country and worthy of emulation by Filipinos especially the youth,” the resolution states.
