City commends honest citizens

Honesty is the best policy.

The city council approved three resolutions individually commending Baguio citizens for their exemplary act of honesty, uprightness and integrity.

Resolution No. 302, series of 2022, commends Mr. Tirso A. Francisco, a resident of Dr. Carino Street, GEFA Lower QM Barangay. On March 12, he boarded a UV express service bound to Pangasinan and found a cellular phone inside the vehicle.

“Without hesitation, he immediately made efforts and personally returned it to the rightful owner, Ms. Catherine Sison of Campo Sioco, Ferdinand Barangay, Baguio city,” the resolution states.

Resolution No. 303, series of 2022, commends Mr. Filipinas D. Ramones, also a resident of Dr. Carino Street, GEFA Lower QM Barangay who found a cellular phone inside his boarded taxi on February 15.

Ramones made personal efforts to return the cellular phone to the rightful owner identified as Amie Eserio of Springhills, Loakan-Apugan.

Meanwhile, Resolution No. 304, series of 2022 commends Mr. Hilario R. Caluza Jr., another resident of Dr. Carino Street, GEFA Lower QM Barangay who found a cellular phone and returned to its rightful owner Mr. Peter Agpas of Barangay Sto. Tomas Proper on July 11.

The resolutions state that the city government is elated and proud of Francisco, Ramones and Caluza for their “honest and outstanding act of nobility which is worthy of emulation.
