City accredits Guardians Organization

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed city council resolution no. 33, series of 2024, accrediting the Guardians Reform Advocacy and Cooperation Towards Economic Prosperity (GRACE) Inc., a duly registered entity with the Security and Exchange Commission.

The accreditation is pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, its Implementing Rules and Regulations and pertinent memorandum circulars of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

It is coterminous with that of the Local Chief Executive, the approved measure stated.

In its 4th Indorsement, dated January 18, 2024, the local legislature’s Committee on Appropriations and Finance, Cluster C (Investments, Public Indebtedness and Bond Flotation, Peoples Organizations, Non-Government Organizations, and matters of general concern), finding the applicant to have sufficiently submitted and compliant with all the requirements of law, has recommended the accreditation.

The GRACE organization is now eligible for selection as a member to the city’s local special bodies and the sectoral or functional committees of the Local Development Council in accordance with pertinent guidelines. – Gaby B. Keith
