CHSO says 24,638 persons got 2nd booster shots

The Summer Capital’s Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination status as of October 10 this year revealed that a total of 356,088 individuals had at least one dose of vaccine and that 340,696 are deemed fully vaccinated (with two doses).
This was reported by City Health Services Office (CHSO) head Dr. Rowena Galpo during the regular management committee meeting of local officials, Oct. 11, led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong.
She said that individuals that had their first booster shots numbered 152,850 while those who took their second booster doses tapered down to 24,638 persons.
The health chief is urging those eligible, especially persons belonging to the vulnerable sectors like seniors and individuals with comorbidities, to complete their booster shots as added protection against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
She also encourages the public to continue adhering to minimum public health standards like wearing of face masks especially in crowded places; physical distancing; frequent washing of hands with soap and water or alcohol; and living a healthy lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Galpo disclosed that the city has a total vaccine supply of 36,468 doses as of Oct. 10, 2022, composed 14,880 Pfizer (5 to 11 years old) shots; 11,412, Pfizer (12 years old and above); and 10,176 Sinovac doses. – Gaby B. Keith
