CDRRM Council bares Q1 accomplishmentsd
The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) chaired by Mayor Benjamin Magalong has completed the procurement and installation of 60 units of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) facilities last March in the city’s various schools, barangays, district health centers and government offices costing P2 million from the Congressional fund under KALAHI-CIDSS (Kapit-Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services).
The project is to be turned over to the local government unit of Baguio.
This was disclosed by CDRRM Office head and CDRRMC chief secretariat Antonette Anaban during the CDRRMC second quarter full council meeting on May 13 where she discussed the CDRRMC’s 2022 first quarter accomplishment report.
The report includes the Specialist Dispatch Project on Disaster Prevention training conducted by the Japan Council of Local Authorities for International Relations and participated by personnel of the CDRRMO, City Engineering Office, City Buildings and Architecture Office, City Environment and Parks Management Office and Bureau of Fire Protection-Baguio.
First quarter meeting of the CDRRMC was held on February 18 while the conduct of Basic Incident Command Systems for Baguio City Hall employees was completed on April 20 to 22 participated by 20 government workers.
The Cascading of Localized GAWAD Kalasag (GK) was done in three batches on April 1, 4 and 5 joined by representatives of the city’s 128 barangays facilitated by CDRRMO and Office of Civil Defense (OCD)-CAR (OCD)while the submission of barangay GK self-assessment is ongoing, Anaban said.
The CDRRMC also conducted the tabletop exercise on the Testing and Updating of Baguio LGU PSCP (Public Service Community Planning) on April 25 to 29 with representatives of 18 departments facilitated by CDRRMO, OCD-CAR and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Baguio office. Anaban said follow-up of final output with the departments is due on or before June 15, 2022 while the enhanced PSCP will be completed by the third quarter of this year. – Gaby B. Keith
