CA Associate Justice graces IBP Isabela Chapter’s Red Carpet Gala Night in Cauayan City

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela– The Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals, Atty. Florencio M. Mamauag, Jr. graced the Red Carpet Gala Night of the IBP Isabela Chapter led by its President Atty. Lucky M. Damasen on Sept. 30 at ICON, Cauayan City, Isabela.

IBP National President Atty. Antonio C. Pido, IBP National Secretary Atty. Doroteo Lorenzo B. Aguila, and IBP Northern Luzon Region Governor Atty. Minerva R. Magtanao-Taguinod were also present.

Part of the activity were the recognition of 62 new lawyers and newly promoted appointees in the government, awarding of tokens to the lawyers who rendered meritorious service to the chapter, and oath-taking of the new Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability law.

Atty. Damasen in his speech presented the chapters’ activities that highlight legal aid services to less fortunate citizens. He especially mentioned the Local Government Unit of Reina Mercedes in their solid support to the chapter.

To note, a Memorandum of Agreement between the IBP Isabela Chapter and LGU Reina Mercedes was inked on July 2023. The latter committed monetary support to finance the legal aid services of the chapter.

Lawyers with the most number of pro bono cases and those who religiously participated and discharged free legal consultation during the chapter’s conduct of legal aid service were also recognized and awarded with a token provided by Atty. Damasen.
