Blessing and Wreath-laying of Major Bado Dangwa Monument

PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, warmly welcomed a team from the Department of Tourism (DOT)-CAR, and Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) who visited Camp Major Bado Dangwa as part of their Cordillera World War II Historical Journey on October 26, 2023.

The First Vice President of PHILTOA Ms. Mary Ann Ong, was received by the Acting Chief of the Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Division (RICTMD) PRO Cordillera, PLTCOL VIVIAN B PACLIBON, and was welcomed with a traditional Cordilleran dance performed by the men and women of PRO Cordillera.

Other PRO Cordillera key officers present were the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN PATRICK JOSEPH G ALLAN; Chief Regional Staff, PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO; Regional Staff; Special Staff; and other PRO Cordillera personnel.

The activity was highlighted with the blessing of Major Bado Dangwa Monument and a wreath-laying offered by Ms. Ong and PBGEN PEREDO JR. while members of the RMFB-15 rendered a 21-gun salute to honor the heroic acts, valor, and gallantry shown by Major Bado Dangwa.

In her message, MS. ONG recognized the role of the Cordillerans in World War II for being the brave soldiers who gave us the freedom that we are enjoying today. She thanked PRO Cordillera as their partner in promoting tourism and promoting the place as a safe and pure tourism destination.
