Best completer finisher awardees recognized anew

City officials recently congratulated and commended Paul Gabriel Bautista, Greysean Ngolab, Rayne Earl Diaron, Jamie Espejo, Erin Shane Gumanlaw, Yuhan Nayri Padsoyan, Lyndsay Avy Malibiran, Danielle Thereze Amansec and Lara Annika Paula Namoca of St. Louis University (SLU) for being Best Completer Finisher Awardees during the 2nd SEAMEO Science Olympiad 2023 held in Penang, Malaysia.

In a resolution authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., local legislators stated that the junior high school winners’ incredible performance in the International SEAMEO Science Olympiad 2023 is worthy of praise and appreciation.

Further, the council pointed out that the said achievement of the aforesaid individuals should serve as an inspiration to other students to excel more and do better in their respective fields of expertise even at a young age.

The council added that the accomplishment of these students is also a testament of the quality of education being provided by the various public and private educational institutions in the city which truly makes the entire Louisan community and the people of the city proud.

Earlier, three teams from the junior high school and basic education of the St. Louis University competed in the 2nd SEAMEO Science Olympiad held in Penang, Malaysia last March 6-10, 2023.

Team 1 was composed of Gabriel Bautista, Greysean Ngolab and Rayne Earl Diaron; Team 2 comprised Jamie Espejo, Erin Shane Gumanlaw and Yuhan Nayri Padsoyan while Team 3 that was composed of Lyndsay Avy Malibiran, Danielle Thereze Amansec and Lara Annika Paula Namoca, all were recipients of the Best Completer Finisher Award.

The aforesaid junior high school students were assisted by their adviser, John Michael E. Guerzon.

Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the said junior high school students, their adviser and SLU for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. – Dexter A. See
